Define, develop, implement, operate and continually improve global configuration management practices and solutions, with delivery through a cross functional team of divisional configuration resources.
- Support the SACM Service Owner to develop, execute and optimize the Asset & Configuration Management strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders and configuration management resources across the globe.
- Work with the SACM Service Owner to agree and document the scope of Asset & Configuration Management, including the policy for determining which resources and capabilities across the organization will be treated as configuration items (e.g., process, knowledge, people, applications, infrastructure).
- Collaborate with other process owners to ensure an integrated approach to the design of Asset, Configuration, Change, Knowledge and Release and Deployment Management.
- Manage the Asset & Configuration Management System to provide a 'trusted source of federated truth' of quality configuration data to support and underpin service processes.
- Define, provide and optimize the governance and control of the Asset & Configuration management processes and data, conforming to applicable IT policies and controls, in particular the IT Security Policy and the Change policy as it relates to asset and configuration data.
- Define, provide and optimise the support model for the asset and configuration process and data.
- Define, provide and optimise the reporting to agreed key performance indicators/key risk indicators of the asset and configuration process and data covering effectiveness, efficiency, performance, quality and compliance.
- Coordinate and oversee periodic asset and configuration data certification and remediation activities.
- Provide asset and configuration support to technology projects and initiatives, e.g., technology refresh.
- Plan and manage team capacity, ensuring workload forecasts are agreed in collaboration with Service Operations Managers, Service Transition teams, Support teams and Technology Delivery teams to manage the relative priorities and demands of maintaining current operations against implementing change and new systems.
- Embed a culture of Continual Improvement, working with configuration resources to identify and drive improvements across people, process, technology and partners that benefits delivery of services provided to stakeholders.
